Why the Moroccan Atlas?

Cade juniper (Juniperus oxycedrus) grows around the entire Mediterranean basin, but it is in the Moroccan Atlas forests that it reaches its finest expression. Altitude (800–2000 m), intense sunshine, low rainfall and draining limestone soils force the tree to concentrate its resins and active compounds in the wood, guaranteeing a particularly rich cade tar.

Ancestral know-how

Cade oil production in the Moroccan Atlas is a century-old tradition. The craftsmen who work with Cade Oil master the pyrolysis process with empirical precision inherited from their ancestors. Cade Oil supports these local producers by guaranteeing sustainable commercial relationships and fair prices.

Traceability and quality control

Each batch is identified by its production number and geographic origin, and tested for: 100% purity (no solvent), density and viscosity conforming to CAS 8013-10-3, absence of contaminants, phenol content. The technical data sheet and SDS are available on request.

Cade juniper is a slow-growing species. Cade Oil ensures that harvesting respects sustainable exploitation principles: no young tree felling, priority to deadwood and fallen branches, respect for regeneration cycles.
